Atria Park of Sierra Pointe
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Atria Park of Sierra Pointe Senior Living Community and speaking with the Community Sales Director, Rosy Aivas. Touring local facilities and gathering information is a key part of our new senior concierge initiative, aimed at providing our clients with more comprehensive resources. Atria Park Senior Living is conveniently located on Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, just east of Thompson Peak Parkway, and offers both Independent Living and Assisted Living options.
The monthly rate at Atria Park is determined by the size of the apartment and the level of care required. With 216 apartments and 10 different floor plans, ranging from $3,295 to $6,895, Atria Park of Sierra Pointe offers a wide variety of options for immediate occupancy. However, please note that the smallest and largest apartments currently have a waitlist.
Residents can look forward to connecting with friends and neighbors, knowing that a professional staff is available 24/7 to handle daily tasks. The apartments at Atria Park include three meals a day, two loads of laundry per week, one housekeeping visit per week, a safety alert pendant, transportation within 15 miles, water, electricity, sewage, basic cable, and access to over 200 activities each month.
During my tour, several aspects stood out to me, starting with how friendly and enthusiastic the staff was. It’s always a good sign when the people who work there love their jobs! Another unique feature that caught my eye was the personalized decorations outside some residents’ doors, including paintings, small statues, and other creative displays. These touches, along with the beautiful fish tanks, added a lot of character to the community.
Atria Park of Sierra Pointe is a three-story building surrounding three outdoor areas that feature a pool, courtyard, water features, and a walking path. The third floor houses Camelback Bistro, where a variety of activities take place, including happy hours, live music, and dancing. Adjacent to the Bistro is the activity center, which attracts a large crowd for exercise classes, and the movie theater, where films are shown daily. The views of the McDowell Mountains from the Game Room and Library are stunning, and you can even see the McDowell Mountain Gateway Loop Hiking Trail from the Library. For more information on that hiking trail, visit our adventure website.
The second floor features a Salon, Fitness Center, Wellness Center, and Computer Center. The crown jewel of the first floor is the Pinnacle Restaurant, renowned for its enjoyable dining experience, with both a chef and an executive chef on staff. Rosy, my tour guide and the Community Sales Director, gave me a small loaf of Cranberry Orange Walnut Bread from the kitchen, which my daughter and I enjoyed very much.
The 200+ activities each month often begin at 8:30 AM with Brain Games, followed by various exercise-related activities like Stretch Band Exercise, Cardio Dancing, Total Body Conditioning, Water Aerobics, and Tai Chi. A Matinee Movie is shown in the theater at 1:30 PM, and there are plenty of other activities designed to keep residents engaged and entertained. Bingo in the Bistro at 4:00 PM is a favorite way to wind down the day’s activities.
